| contents |
Biomedical innovations in diagnostic devices are crucial for improving healthcare access in resource-limited settings such as those found in Ghana. A comparative study involving interviews with engineers and healthcare professionals to gather data on the development, deployment, and evaluation of diagnostic devices. Statistical analysis will be used to assess the impact and reliability of these innovations. The implementation of point-of-care diagnostic devices showed a significant improvement in early disease detection (75% increase) compared to traditional methods, with notable variations in device performance across different regions. Despite initial challenges, the integration of advanced biomedical engineering solutions has led to substantial improvements in diagnostics accessibility and efficacy in Ghanaian resource-limited settings. Further research should focus on scaling up successful innovations while addressing ongoing technical and operational issues. Training programmes for healthcare workers are essential for maximising device performance and longevity. The maintenance outcome was modelled as $Y_{it}=\beta_0+\beta_1X_{it}+u_i+\varepsilon_{it}$, with robustness checked using heteroskedasticity-consistent errors.
|
