- <p>We extend the Asymptotic Safety (AS) prediction programme to the tau lepton sector. The<br>critical exponent θ(yτ) = +0.01129 is computed at the R4 truncation level via the structural<br>ratio method, calibrated against the established θ(yt) = 0.01170 result. θ(yτ) > 0 is<br>confirmed, establishing that the tau Yukawa coupling is UV-relevant at the NGFP — the<br>same status as the top Yukawa. The predicted tau lepton mass, mτ = 1631.8 ± 175.7 MeV,<br>is consistent with the observed 1776.86 MeV at pull = −0.83σ. The 8.2% residual is within<br>the expected R4 truncation uncertainty of 8.5%. The dominant uncertainty is σ_FRGE =<br>±151 MeV, which will reduce to ±60–80 MeV at R6+ and ±20–30 MeV at R8. The decisive<br>test (sub-1% level) is thus expected at R8 truncation, not the current R4.</p>
