Rather than interpreting darkness merely as the absence of light, this work considers darkness as a fundamental and ever-present background condition upon which observable reality emerges.

The ideas presented in this document are speculative and philosophical in nature and are intended to encourage interdisciplinary reflection, conceptual exploration, and dialogue across philosophy, physics, and metaphysics.

The Core Principles of Shadow-Realism

1. Principle of Static Shadow

A shadow does not possess independent motion; apparent movement arises from changing illumination or observer position.

2. The Cosmic Highway Principle

Darkness functions as the universal background within which light propagates and becomes observable.

3. The Relativity of Perception

Experiences of light and darkness depend upon the sensory and observational capacity of the observer.

4. The Primordial Background Concept

Non-illumination may be considered conceptually prior to observation and visibility.

5. The Screen Principle

Reality may be metaphorically understood as projection occurring upon an underlying existential background.

6. Human-Centric Limitation Principle

Perceived darkness may arise from biological limitations of human sensory systems rather than absolute absence.

7. Species Relativity Principle

Different organisms perceive environmental illumination differently, suggesting perceptual relativity.

8. Positional Truth Principle

Observation and perceived reality vary depending on spatial position and interaction.

9.
