contents <p><em><span lang="UK">This article examines personality-oriented approaches to developing English language skills among first-year university students. In modern higher education, learner-centered instruction has become a key factor in improving the effectiveness of foreign language teaching. Personality-oriented approaches focus on students’ individual characteristics, needs, motivation, learning styles, and cognitive abilities. The study analyzes the theoretical foundations of personality-oriented education, explores practical methods for implementing these approaches in English language classrooms, and highlights their impact on students’ communicative competence, motivation, and academic engagement. The findings suggest that personality-oriented teaching contributes significantly to the development of language skills and supports the holistic development of first-year university students</span></em></p>
