- <p>This repository contains the simulation configurations, evaluation scripts, and data descriptions for the WRF (Weather Research and Forecasting) study of the Photonloop optical link in Eindhoven, NL (Aug-Sep 2025).</p> <h3>Directory structure:</h3> <ul> <li>data: Description and source information for the vertically interpolated WRF output (`wrfout_interp_z60.nc`) and KNMI validation data.</li> <li>eval: Python scripts for data processing and figure generation. <ul> <li>evaluate.py: Main evaluation and plotting script.</li> <li>link_losses.py: Module for calculating optical link parameters (e.g., beam divergence).</li> </ul> </li> <li>sim: WRF configuration files. <ul> <li>namelist.wps: Domain configuration (9km -> 3km -> 1km nesting).</li> <li>namelist_sim_*.input: Model physics and dynamics settings for different simulation runs.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <h3>Data Access</h3> <p>The simulation results and validation data references are documented in `data/README.md`. Scintillometer (Cn2) observations are available upon request from the authors.</p>
