contents
This study assessed the integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in classroom instruction at Claro M. Recto Information and Communication Technology High School in Angeles City during the School Year 2024–2025. Using a quantitative-descriptive research design, data were collected from teacher-respondents through a researcher-constructed questionnaire that measured the level of ICT utilization in terms of equipment, facilities, and training activities; examined the effects of ICT integration on teaching, student learning, and other professional responsibilities; and identified the problems encountered in ICT implementation. Results revealed a high level of ICT utilization, particularly in the use of mobile devices and the availability of an ICT room, although limitations in interactive boards and computer maintenance were noted. Teachers generally agreed that ICT positively influences teaching effectiveness, student engagement, and professional productivity. However, lack of sufficient ICT training, limited skills, resistance to new technology, and lack of confidence were identified as serious challenges. Based on these findings, a Teacher Development Program was proposed to enhance teachers’ technological competence, pedagogical integration skills, and sustained use of ICT in classroom instruction. The study underscores the importance of continuous professional development and institutional support in achieving meaningful and sustainable ICT integration in basic education.
