| contents | <p>With the continuous advancement of science and technology in China, one-time schooling can no longer meet people's growing demand for knowledge, and the concept of lifelong education is gaining widespread acceptance. This paper examines the development of higher vocational colleges within the lifelong education framework. It first elucidates the essence and trends of lifelong education, highlighting the current inadequacy of higher vocational education to meet lifelong learning demands. The study then explores the necessity of establishing a lifelong education system within vocational institutions and analyzes the new requirements this places on higher vocational colleges. Finally, it proposes corresponding development strategies aimed at promoting the sustainable development of higher vocational colleges within the lifelong education context.</p> |
