| contents | <p><strong><span> </span></strong></p> <h1><strong><span>Guía Crítica para el Análisis de Traducciones Bíblicas: Hermenéutica, Historia y Sociología del Texto</span></strong></h1> <p><strong>Abstract</strong></p> <p>This study proposes a critical framework for the evaluation of contemporary biblical translations by integrating insights from linguistics, textual history, and the sociology of textual production. It re-examines the notion of “literal translation” through the principle of anisomorphism, arguing that translation necessarily entails semantic and cultural mediation shaped by the structural properties of the source languages.</p> <p>The analysis engages the longstanding discussion between formal and functional equivalence while incorporating developments from translation theory, including Skopos theory, alongside methodological advances in textual criticism such as the Coherence-Based Genealogical Method. Particular attention is given to the ways in which confessional orientations and material publishing contexts contribute to the stabilization and reception of specific textual forms.</p> <p>By contrasting the Textus Receptus with modern critical editions, the study explores how manuscript discoveries and evolving editorial practices have reshaped established textual norms and informed ongoing efforts to approximate the Initialtext. The paper concludes that the plurality of biblical versions should be understood not as evidence of corruption but as a productive methodological condition for accessing the layered complexity of the ancient textual tradition.</p> |
