Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso Superior em Engenharia Elétrica (Graduação) – Faculdades Integradas dos Campos Gerais (CESCAGE), Ponta Grossa, 2019</p> <p>Este trabalho busca o desenvolvimento da expansão de uma rede de fibra óptica para um provedor de internet. Inicialmente, apresentaram-se os conceitos básicos por trás de uma rede de fibra óptica. Por meio de estudos e análise de viabilidade, constatou-se uma demanda para a prestação de serviços de comunicação multimídia na região proposta, sendo uma excelente oportunidade de mercado para o provedor em questão. A escolha do local para instalação do ponto operacional de presença foi apresentada, bem como a escolha da rede de fibra óptica do tipo desbalanceada, devido às características geográficas do local. O dimensionamento dos equipamentos necessários para a construção da rede também foi apresentado. Por fim, foi elaborado o cálculo das potências ópticas esperadas nas caixas de atendimento, as quais se mostraram condizentes com os resultados teóricos após a sua operacionalização. A rede proposta foi implementada, atingindo os resultados esperados.</p> <p><strong>Palavras-chave: </strong>Fibra óptica. GPON. Dimensionamento. At first, basic concepts of an optical fiber network were presented. Through studies and feasibility analysis, a demand for multimedia communication services was verified, being an excellent market opportunity for the internet service provider. The choice of location for the operational point of presence was presented as well as the choice of an unbalanced fiber optic network due to the geographic characteristics of the site. The sizing of the equipment necessary for the construction of the network was also presented. Finally, the calculation of the expected optical powers in the service boxes was elaborated, which were consistent with the theoretical results after its operation.
