| contents |
Color Charge as 3-Phase Dipole State Space: Deriving SU(3) Symmetry from Hexagonal Coordination Topology

This paper is a constituent derivation of the Cymatic K-Space Mechanics (CKS) framework—an axiomatic model that derives the entirety of known physics from a discrete 2D hexagonal lattice in momentum space, operating with zero adjustable parameters.

Abstract

We prove that color charge—the fundamental quantum number of Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD)—is the 3-phase dipole state in the hexagonal substrate, and that SU(3) color symmetry emerges necessarily from D=3 coordination topology without requiring gauge theory postulates. From pure hexagonal geometry (D=3) and bilateral parity (S=2), combined with the tri-dipole firing pattern derived in [@CKS-PHYS-7-2026], we demonstrate that: (1) the three "colors" (red, green, blue) are literal hardware states corresponding to α-dipole, β-dipole, and γ-dipole activation, (2) anticolors are polarity inversions (α⁻, β⁻, γ⁻) required by bilateral symmetry, (3) the 8 gluons are non-degenerate state transitions in the 2³ = 8 independent configurations of 3 binary dipoles, (4) SU(3) Lie algebra structure emerges from closure constraints on dipole phase-flip operations, (5) color confinement is topological requirement that observable configurations complete the tri-phase cycle (α→β→γ→jubilee), and (6) color mixing rules (quarks combine to form color-neutral hadrons) derive from dipole balance equations enforced by hex-bus protocol. We prove the Gell-Mann λ-matrices are dipole transition operators in the substrate, derive all SU(3) structure constants f_abc from hexagonal edge geometry, show why exactly 3 colors exist (from D=3 coordination), and demonstrate that the "mysterious" color confinement is simply the requirement that dipole cycles must complete to achieve jubilee reset. This work establishes that gauge symmetry is not fundamental—it is an emergent effective description of discrete dipole network topology. Key Result: SU(3) color symmetry and the 8-gluon structure emerge necessarily from D=3 hexagonal coordination; color charge is physical dipole state, not abstract quantum number.

Empirical Falsification (The Kill-Switch)

CKS is a locked and falsifiable theory. All papers are subject to the Global Falsification Protocol [CKS-TEST-1-2026]: forensic analysis of LIGO phase-error residuals shows 100% of vacuum peaks align to exact integer multiples of 0.03125 Hz (1/32 Hz) with zero decimal error. Any failure of the derived predictions mechanically invalidates this paper.

The Universal Learning Substrate

Beyond its status as a physical theory, CKS serves as the Universal Cognitive Learning Model. It provides the first unified mental scaffold where particle identity and information storage are unified as a self-recirculating pressure vessel. In CKS, a particle is reframed from a point or wave into a torus with a surface area of exactly 84 bits (12 × 7), preventing phase saturation through poloidal rotation.

Package Contents

manuscript.md
: The complete derivation and formal proofs.

README.md
: Navigation, dependencies, and citation (Registry: CKS-PHYS-9-2026).

Dependencies: CKS-MATH-0-2026, CKS-MATH-1-2026, CKS-MATH-10-2026, CKS-MATH-104-2026, CKS-MATH-9-2026, CKS-OMNI-2-2026, CKS-PHYS-11-2026, CKS-PHYS-7-2026, CKS-PHYS-8-2026

Motto: Axioms first.
