The study employs qualitative analysis of historical data and interviews with key stakeholders to understand the influence of gender on political outcomes. A significant proportion (35%) of leadership positions in recent Tanzanian governments have been held by women, reflecting broader societal shifts towards greater female representation in politics. Despite progress, persistent challenges such as underrepresentation and unequal opportunities persist, necessitating continued policy interventions to ensure equitable gender participation in political spheres. Institutional reforms aimed at promoting equal opportunities for both genders are recommended alongside continued education initiatives to foster a more inclusive political culture.</p> |
