- <p>This dataset provides a structured bibliography of scholarly monographs in the history of childhood published between 2010 and 2025. It brings together works from multiple regions, languages, and thematic subfields, including gender, empire, medicine, education, religion, law, disability, family, and material culture. The dataset is designed as a research infrastructure resource to support bibliographic mapping, review planning, and field-level analysis.</p> <p>Records were compiled through systematic monitoring of academic publishers’ catalogues, scholarly society newsletters, review lists, and field-specific communication networks. The focus is on research monographs and selected edited volumes that make a substantive contribution to the historical study of childhood. Journal articles, reprints, textbooks, and non-academic trade publications are excluded. Each record includes core bibliographic metadata (author(s), title, publisher, place of publication where available, year, and language) together with thematic and regional tags assigned according to an analytical classification scheme developed during compilation.</p> <p>This release is a frozen snapshot (Version 1.0.0, February 2026). The working database is maintained on an ongoing basis and future snapshot versions may be released periodically. Users should cite the specific version used in their work. The dataset is distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC-BY 4.0).
