contents
This paper proposes a unified cosmological framework termed Universal Compression, positing that spacetime, physical law, and biological complexity is treated as recursive iterations of a single thermodynamic tendency: the stabilization of uncertainty into stable compression structure. We model the universe as a Synchronization Manifold: a growing causal history in which “time” is not a presupposed background parameter but the ordered accumulation of successful synchronization events selected from fluctuations under an asymmetry lean (“the Twist”). In this framework, the Twist acts not as a force but as a primitive selection bias embedded in the initial conditions that increases the probability that random fluctuations can phase-lock into persistent histories. We interpret gravity as an emergent compression tendency associated with gradients in causal/constraint density (with “mass” corresponding to high densities of stably compressed structure in an emergent region), and we treat thermodynamic cost in an implementation-agnostic way: stabilization and stable constraint maintenance generically require physical resources and can produce dissipation without committing to whether underlying micro-encoding is strictly lossy or lossless. We introduce Scale-Free Continuity, arguing that biological evolution is not ontologically separate from physics but a higher-efficiency regime of the same stabilization logic operating through replication and selection across nested compression layers. We also include a public-data discriminator-style hardening test using SPARC rotation-curve mass models, evaluating whether the predicted residue mapping exhibits a state-modulated signature consistent with a family of sync history-realizations rather than a single universal fit.
