The analysis highlights a significant gap in research specifically addressing AI ethics in Somali societies, with only 3% of reviewed studies focusing on the region. This review underscores the urgent need for localized ethical guidelines and policy frameworks to address emerging risks associated with AI applications in Somalia. Developing tailored educational programmes for policymakers and stakeholders is recommended to foster a more informed and proactive approach towards AI governance.</p> |
