-
Once each frame was mapped to the model, the motion could be viewed from any perspective, and the COM and COB coordinates were extracted. A) presents a position plot of the COM and COB as the user walks across the water. Dashed gray lines connect the corresponding COM and COB data points at each instant in time. These lines can be interpreted as forming the pendulum rod of an inverted pendulum, with the COM pivoting about the COB. From the plot, it is evident that the S-pattern of the COB is not evenly distributed on either side of the COM, suggesting that there were inaccuracies in the out-of-plane mapping. B) shows the user’s movement from a top view. The 36 frames are evenly spaced by 0.2 seconds to accurately portray the speed of 7 seconds of motion.
