- <p>This preprint introduces <strong>Biblical Narrative Mediation</strong> as an integrative theoretical framework that brings narrative mediation into constructive dialogue with biblical peacemaking and biblical narrative theology. It argues that conflict should be understood not merely as a clash of interests, rights, or needs, but also as a <strong>narrative predicament</strong> in which persons become trapped within governing stories of injury, blame, shame, defensiveness, and retaliation. While narrative mediation offers important resources for attending to language, identity, positioning, and the re-authoring of conflict-saturated stories, and while Christian peacemaking provides theological and moral commitments concerning truth, repentance, forgiveness, and reconciliation, these two streams have often remained methodologically distinct.
