Neither family defines meditation by its structural function within a liberation economy. The present article introduces a Three-Register Framework that provides, for the first time, a formally rigorous account of meditation operating simultaneously at methodological, philosophical, and mathematical levels.</span></p> <p><strong><span>Methods: </span></strong><span>We develop Liberation Mathematics, a formal framework in which the four-axis Lakshmi Manifold W</span><span> </span><span>=</span><span> </span><span>M</span><span> </span><span>+</span><span> </span><span>iC</span><span> </span><span>+</span><span> </span><span>jP</span><span> </span><span>+</span><span> </span><span>kD represents the configuration space of human consciousness. (ii) Philosophically, meditation is the discovery or rediscovery of the pre-reflective continuity between organism and environment (the basic link of self with nature). (iii) Mathematically, meditation is the directed reduction of d(W</span><span>ₜᵣᵔᵉᵗ</span><span>, W</span><span>ₜᵣᵔᵉ</span><span>) in </span><span> </span><span>, approached from one direction only (the Asymmetry Principle). Convergence requires optimal viriya calibration, governed by the Visuddhimagga V.15 faculty-balance doctrine formalised as a stability condition.</span></p> <p><strong><span>Significance: </span></strong><span>The framework provides structural answers to seven questions that prior definitions leave unresolved</span><span> </span><span>—</span><span> </span><span>including why forcing in meditation fails, why liberation is phenomenologically experienced as recognition rather than arrival, and why the liberated being teaches.
