- <p> This article examines the changes in the socio-economic situation and tax policy in Turkestan during the early years of Soviet power. The study analyzes the transformation of economic structures following the collapse of the Russian Empire and the establishment of Soviet governance in the region. Particular attention is given to the impact of War Communism, the requisitioning system, and the introduction of the New Economic Policy (NEP) on agricultural production, taxation, and local economic relations.
