| contents |
This research paper focuses on the role of automation testing in improving software quality assurance for web applications. Software testing is an important phase of the software development lifecycle that ensures the reliability, functionality, and performance of applications. Traditional manual testing methods are often time-consuming and prone to human errors, especially when testing complex web systems.

Automation testing provides an efficient solution to overcome these limitations. This study explores the use of the automation testing tool Selenium WebDriver for testing web applications. The research compares manual testing and automated testing in terms of execution time, efficiency, and defect detection capability.

The methodology involves identifying important test cases for a sample web application, executing them manually, and then automating the same test cases using Selenium WebDriver. The results show that automation testing significantly reduces execution time while maintaining the same level of defect detection. Automation also improves testing repeatability and supports continuous integration practices.

The study concludes that automation testing tools such as Selenium play an important role in modern software development environments. They help improve testing efficiency, reduce manual effort, and ensure higher software quality. Future work may include integrating automation testing with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines to further improve software testing processes.
|
