(Euphorbiaceae) (Tatarnic & Cassis 2008); Macaranga tanarius (Euphorbiaceae) *.

Remarks. This species is very similar to C. zetteli and C. sommelieri Tatarnic & Cassis, 2008. Until now, C. testaceous was known only from females, whereas C. zetteli was described based solely on the male. Since both species were collected together on the same host plant, it had been suggested that they might be conspecific (Tatarnic & Cassis 2008). In the present study, we also collected a series of both male and female specimens with identical external morphology on Macaranga tanarius. However, in the male of this species, we found that the left paramere and endosoma are similar to those of C. zetteli, whereas the right paramere differs and instead resembles that of C. sommelieri, thereby confirming that C. testaceous is distinct. In the female, the paragenital opening is absent, whereas in C. sommelieri it is clearly visible (see fig. 19A–C in Tatarnic & Cassis (2008)), which further supports the identification of this species as C. testaceous.
