(2022) from Icelandic waters. Carapace outline triangular in lateral view. Posterior end more pointed, anterior end more rounded. <i>Microcythere</i> sp. 1 showed higher presence during glacial periods when compared to interglacials (Suppl. material 1: fig. S 4). Three specimens were recovered from MIS 15 sediment samples (from 565.5–563.2 ka), 75 specimens from MIS 14 sediment samples (from 562.3–560.0 ka), one specimen from a single MIS 13 sediment sample (at 495.9 ka), two specimens from MIS 12 sediment samples (from 445.2–442.3 ka), and one specimen from a MIS 10 sediment sample (at 373.5 ka), respectively.</p> |
