contents
We report the discovery of long-lived angular scarring between coexisting oscillons in 2+1 dimensional scalar field dynamics with a double-well potential. After four convergent negative results in 1+1 dimensions establishing structural attractor rigidity, we pass to 2+1 where angular degrees of freedom become available. A systematic program reveals: a metastable radial oscillon with Q2 = 0 (Gate 0); a transient quadrupolar channel (Gate 1b); collision-induced Q2 at 58 times baseline with SNR ~ 22 (Gate 2b); a nonzero asymptotic residue Q2_inf ~ 0.014 persisting to 1000 oscillation periods; Q2 independent of impact parameter from b = 0 to 10.7 R_eff; Q2 = 0 for an isolated oscillon (control). The decisive test places two oscillons at rest with zero relative velocity: Q2 = 0.0135 emerges identically in both, equal to the collision value, with the same coherent frequency. The mechanism is purely radiative: oscillons that breathe in each other's presence mutually break their radial symmetry through emitted radiation alone, without requiring collision, relative motion, or close approach. Part of the Radial Coherential Dynamics (RCD) 2.0 program.
