contents
Abstract—Mineral assets form a major source of national wealth and can provide a country with an opportunity for economic development. Nigeria is rich in minerals identified as critical to the energy transition and can leverage nanotechnology to optimize these mineral resources for developing renewable energy, thereby improving her economy. This review aims to present the available minerals in Nigeria for clean energy production and how nanotechnology can be utilized to harness the potential of these mineral resources for sustainable development. We hope that this paper serves as a source of motivation for the government, researchers, and investors to promote nanotechnology as a tool for optimizing mineral resources, developing renewable energy, and improving the economy.
