This document critiques this consensus, showing its internal weaknesses—particularly the problematic identification of the March 13, 4 BC eclipse as the one referred to by Flavius Josephus—and proposes an alternative reconstruction based on multi-source synchronies. This reconstruction places Christ’s birth on August 20-21, 1 BC (Jupiter-Venus conjunction in Virgo), the death of Herod the Great in early AD 1 (after the December 29, 1 BC eclipse), and vindicates the chronology of Dionysius Exiguus as essentially correct within
the documentary framework of his time. It concludes with a call for an interdisciplinary reevaluation of primary sources and for the deconstruction of the still-dominant post-Keplerian paradigm.
