Bostrichine type of antennal club. Elytra shining with sparse appressed yellowish setae; anteriorly, finely, evenly punctuated on disc. Elytral declivity truncate, without marginal tubercles; declivital suture cariniform but not swollen; juxtasutural spines inserted in the middle of declivity and on the suture, short, triangular, divergent, compressed laterally, blunt apex, external face smooth and shining.

BODY subelongate, 5mm in length, 2.25 times as long as wide. Dark brown and shinning especially the elytra, antennae reddish, funicle brownish, tarsi and humeri brown.

HEAD antennal club antennomeres dull, 1 st and 2 nd club antennomeres transverse, the 1 st club antennomere about twice as wide as long, the 2 nd club antennomere less than twice as wide as long, the 3 rd club antennomere slightly longer. Eyes medium-sized, posterior margin strongly raised. Frons sparsely granulate, with long, golden erect setae, inclined backwardly and centrally, in a transverse line behind the anterior margin, anterior emarginate sinuated between two rounded teeth next to the base of labrum, inflated and costiform at sides; anterior margin of clypeus arch form (fig.10), sparsely granulate with very sparse erect setae, framed by black outer frame and a median line, the middle part of the outer frame reddish.

PRONOTUM sides convex, anterior angles with a weakly backwardly curved tooth, posterior angles obtuse, sides slightly convex; posterior area of pronotum covered with minute, subcircular, appressed granules, densely placed but not contiguous, with a fine, appressed, yellow pubescence, the pubescence denser and longer on sides; no median sulcus.

SCUTELLUM very small, subquadrate.

ELYTRA shining with sparse appressed yellowish setae; anteriorly, finely, evenly punctuated on disc. Elytral declivity truncate, subconcave on middle part, more strongly bulged on both sides towards the declivital suture, lateral margin subcostate, without marginal tubercles; declivital disc with subsparse circular punctures, pubescence sparse, very fine, appressed directed dorsally; epipleural sulcate as far as the sutural angle. Declivital suture cariniform but not swollen; juxtasutural spines inserted in the middle of declivity and on the suture, short, triangular, divergent, compressed laterally, blunt apex, external face smooth and shining.

LEG Tibiae with long erect setae externally.

Geographical distribution: Lesne (1936) described this species from a singleton collected from Insein distinct, Okkan Reserve, Myanmar.

Biology: The type specimen was collected from Bambusa polymorpha (Poaceae) in February, 1927.

Remarks: The holotype is deposited in NFIC (Borowski & Singh 2017). There is no further record since Lesne (1936).
