Sars, 1851: 138.</p><p><i>Clytia gracilis</i>: Gil & Ramil, 2025: 31–32 (synonymy).</p><p><b>Material examined. Vertidos-2004</b>: Stn. AG-AT-400-04, eight colonies without gonothecae, of which three were growing on <i>Acryptolaria conferta minor</i>, two on <i>Halecium muricatum</i>, one on <i>Cryptolaria pectinata</i>, one on <i>Polyplumaria flabellata</i> and another one on <i>Sertularella robusta</i>.—Stn. GA-DRN-1000-04, one colony without gonothecae, growing on a coral fragment. <b>ForSaGal-2009</b>: Stn. 6-DRC-09, two colonies without gonothecae growing on <i>Diphasia alata</i>.</p><p><b>Biology</b>. The biology of the species has been recently reviewed by Gil & Ramil (2025). Our material was found growing on several leptothecate hydroid species and on a coral fragment. Gonothecae were not observed.</p><p><b>Distribution</b>. <i>Clytia gracilis</i> has a circumglobal distribution, reaching sub-Arctic and sub-Antarctic waters (Schuchert, 2001; Gil & Ramil, 2025). Its bathymetric distribution ranges between 0 and 1443 (Gil & Ramil 2025, see references). Our material was collected at depths between 371–1001 m.</p>
