contents <p> </p> <p>Almaty faces severe air pollution, with winter smog reaching critical levels and posing serious health risks to residents. This work presents a compact modular installation designed to capture smog from the flue gas stream of thermal power plants, purify it through multi-stage filtration, and convert it into eco-friendly fuel via the Reverse Water Gas Shift (RWGS) reaction and Fischer–Tropsch (FT) synthesis. The installation also repurposes by-products into construction materials, pigments, and fertilizers. By harnessing waste heat and optimizing energy use, the system significantly reduces emissions while producing usable fuel. One day of operation processes as much CO₂ as 2,500 mature trees would absorb in a year. This concept transforms harmful smog into a valuable resource, improving air quality, public health, and socio-economic conditions in Almaty.</p>
