Through analyzing data from 2021 to 2023, the study highlights how busy interchanges like Birmingham New Street and station design flaws at locations like Marston Green facilitate victimization through overcrowding and reduced natural surveillance. Overall, the paper demonstrates that transit crime is an ecological byproduct of passenger density and environmental layout, suggesting that strategic improvements in guardianship can break the "RAT triangle" and increase public safety.</p>
