contents <p>This paper presents a thermodynamic, mathematical, and logical critique of the cosmological singularity as described by the Penrose–Hawking singularity theorems. It argues that the singularity — a state of infinite density, zero volume, and the cessation of physical law — is incompatible with the first law of thermodynamics, contradicts the universal behavior of matter under extreme compression, and reflects a model exceeding its domain of validity rather than a physical reality. The paper further examines the circular logic of inflationary correction, the treatment of infinities across physics, and Hawking's own unpublicized revision of his position. Drawing on phase transition analogies and the mathematical properties of convergent cyclical systems, it connects to the author's previously published Metamorphosis Theory and 2/3 Rule for a Bouncing Universe (Girsh, 2026)."</p>
