contents
Lume is a deterministic natural-language programming language that accepts natural English as valid source code. The compiler uses a 7-layer intent resolution pipeline in which Layers 1 through 6 are entirely deterministic, rule-based, and reproducible; AI is used only as a final fallback in Layer 7. The compiler introduces a novel three-layer security model with live AST-level scanning that produces tamper-evident security certificates embedded in compiled output — a paradigm I call "certified at birth." The self-sustaining runtime (Monitor, Healer, Optimizer, Evolver) extends beyond software into cyber-physical systems, enabling Synthetic Organisms — deterministic, self-maintaining constructs governed by the Lume runtime. Implementation: ~80,000 LOC, 2,160 tests, 154 deterministic patterns, 10 human languages, 35 ecosystem applications.
