By integrating technologies such as robotic process automation, machine learning, natural language processing, and predictive analytics, organizations are able to automate repetitive tasks, enhance data accuracy, and generate real-time financial insights. This paper examines the benefits, risks, and future prospects of AI adoption in accounting through a conceptual and analytical review of existing literature and industry practices. The study identifies key advantages including improved operational efficiency, cost reduction, faster reporting, enhanced fraud detection, and better decision-making capabilities. At the same time, it highlights significant challenges such as cybersecurity risks, ethical concerns, high implementation costs, workforce displacement, and the need for new technical skills among accountants. The findings indicate that AI functions as a supportive tool rather than a replacement for professionals, enabling accountants to transition from routine bookkeeping to strategic advisory and analytical roles. The paper concludes that effective governance, continuous training, and responsible implementation are essential for maximizing the potential of AI and ensuring sustainable growth in the accounting sector.

|
