Update log:</p> <p>Included detailed stratigraphic illustrations to compliment the 'Artifact sampling' section in Supplementary Information.</p> <p>This version of the dataset incorporates a more robust measure of bulb angle derived from a vector-based measurement method. Relative to the bulb angle measurements used in earlier versions that were calculated using the MeshLab Virtual Goniometer plugin (Yezzi-Woodley et al. 2020), this approach produces a stronger statistical relationship with the expected covariate of flake fracture plane angle (see Lin et al. 2025). It also provides greater explanatory power for accounting for variation in complete flake weight (see Li et al. 2022).</p>
