  • <p>In recent years, the science of subjective well-being (SWB) has grown significantly. Based on Diener’s theory of subjective well-being, this cross-sectional study analyzed the relationships between optimism, gratitude, resilience, self-esteem, family support, and friends support on SWB in Mexican medical and psychology students (N = 600). Structural equation modeling showed a good model fit and invariance across student groups. The results highlighted the direct effects of self-esteem, resilience, optimism, and social support on subjective well-being in university contexts.</p> <p>This record provides long-term open access and preservation of the article originally published in Open Access Journal of Biomedical Science (2022).
