| contents |
Equilibria Field Theory (EFT) proposes that the physical universe is grounded in an underlying, equilibrium-seeking energy continuum, from which structure, motion, and apparent forces emerge as local deviations. An earlier paper introduced this ontology and its contrast with spacetime-based frameworks. The present work develops EFT further by clarifying its internal mechanics and resolving several foundational ambiguities, with particular emphasis on the role of black holes, the reinterpretation of force, and the status of inertial frames and the equivalence principle.

Central to this paper is a reinterpretation of black holes not as singular endpoints of gravitational collapse, but as functional repurification domains required by an equilibrium-seeking substrate. As structured impurity accumulates and exceeds a universal complexity threshold, collapse occurs as a non-temporal phase transition that restores higher substrate purity. This repurification necessarily induces displacement of lower-purity energy elsewhere, providing a structural explanation for large-scale cosmic acceleration without invoking exotic components or fundamental spacetime expansion.

Within this framework, force is reinterpreted as an emergent bookkeeping concept describing how structured impurity responds to equilibrium gradients, rather than as a fundamental interaction. Inertial motion, acceleration, and the equivalence of inertial and gravitational mass are shown to arise naturally from this equilibrium structure, without requiring spacetime geometry as a primitive entity. Mathematical expressions are introduced as representational scaffolding rather than as a competing predictive formalism.

The paper concludes by outlining explicit structural constraints that render EFT empirically vulnerable, while deliberately restricting discussion of biological emergence and consciousness to schematic remarks. A dedicated follow-up paper will address life and cognition within the EFT framework.
|
