| contents |
Titanium dioxide (TiO₂) sedimentation is the most persistent reliability challenge across all digital textile printing technologies, including DTF (Direct-to-Film), DTG (Direct-to-Garment), and DTP (Direct-to-Paper). Existing hardware solutions — tank agitators, peristaltic pumps, siphon systems, and Direct-to-Damper configurations — address only partial segments of the ink path, failing to reach the most critical interior of the printhead and its nozzles.

This technical report describes a software-based system that maintains continuous flow throughout the entire ink path, from tank to nozzle tip, through daily micro-printing (0.9 mL/day). A first-principles proof establishes that scheduled forward piezoelectric ejection is the only maintenance mechanism that is simultaneously complete in ink-path coverage and non-destructive to the printhead. A 30-day simulation yields a TiO₂ concentration ratio of 1.02 (near-initial state) compared with 4.72 for unmaintained systems.

This report also formally introduces DTP (Direct-to-Paper) as the third-generation category of digital textile printing, alongside DTG and DTF. DTP is designed as a hybrid-integration technology: it replaces the petroleum-based PET film of DTF with a cellulose-based paper carrier while preserving full compatibility with existing DTF hardware, white ink, hot-melt powder, and heat-press workflows. The technical analyses in this report apply identically to DTF, DTG, and DTP; the software maintenance system is offered to the entire digital textile printing community without restriction.

A reference Windows implementation is distributed free of charge; the underlying principles are open for adoption or independent implementation by any party.
|
