| contents | <p class="MsoNormal">This article presents research advances on work materiality and labor subjectivity among peasant women in Agroparque Los Soches, Usme, embodying enhanced resistance against Bogotá's urban expansion threatening territory and peasant existence. Women lead community organization amid global rural precarity—where women comprise ~70% of small-scale producers across Latin America yet control only ~15% of titled land in Colombia—and deepened poverty in female-headed households (Ballara & Parada, 2009; FAO, 2023).</p> <p class="MsoNormal">The objective is to reveal their work materiality alongside labor subjectivity within invisibilizing economic-social realities. Over 2016-2018 using Participatory Action Research (PAR), we immersed in daily activities (gastronomy, nursery, tourism) and co-consolidated their productive-cultural project with community women organized by seven leaders into three differentiated groups. Learning peasant realities and ancestral knowledge constitutes our principal research gain, transforming academic inquiry into territorial praxis.</p> <p class="MsoNormal">PAR cycles document double-shift labor, intergenerational knowledge recovery, and collective resistance strategies leveraging extraordinary hydric wealth. Findings illuminate how neoliberal material conditions intersect with subjective agency, visibilizing women's orchestration of peasant life reproduction against patriarchal land control and internal tourism conflicts.</p> |
