contents <p>This article presents information on sources of seismic hazard, historical events. It is intended to protect the population from earthquakes, predict sources, factors, consequences, losses of earthquakes, and implement protection of the population in the event of a hazard. The theoretical aspects of the importance of the role of the republican community and the population in increasing the potential for reducing seismic risk are considered. The article discusses the implementation of a set of mathematical modeling measures in the course of the development of seismic hazards, predicting the consequences of strong earthquakes in the city. Detailed information is provided on the assessment of the population's preparedness in the city of Andijan, taking into account the concept of increasing the potential for reducing seismic risk in Uzbekistan, the development and evaluation of technical solutions to increase the potential of the population, and the socio-economic effectiveness of technical solutions for reducing seismic risk. The article presents the results of the authors' experimental research. The article is intended for many specialists and scientists involved in emergency safety issues related to seismic hazard and its damaging factors. Comprehensive measures have been developed to increase the capacity of the population to cope with the consequences of devastating earthquakes in urban areas.</p>
