Positioned within the Environmental and Multi-Pressure Evaluation of Development (EMPED) framework, the model defines three functional states, stable, strained, and overloaded, through which behavioural output is generated and expressed.</p> <p>The framework is designed to capture how individuals function in relation to environmental demand, rather than treating behaviour as an isolated or fixed characteristic. By applying a simplified, state-based scoring system and a pattern-driven method of interpretation, the model enables consistent analysis of behavioural response across varied contexts.</p> <p>The paper outlines the structure of the model, including state definition, scoring methodology, data interpretation, and domain-based analysis. It further establishes the role of contextual data in understanding behavioural patterns, aligning observed responses with environmental conditions and prior exposure. The model is intended for application across research, assessment, and systemic analysis, supporting a shift from isolated behavioural categorisation to context-informed interpretation.</p> <p>This work contributes to the broader development of the EMPED framework by defining the internal processing layer through which environmental pressure is translated into behavioural output. It is presented as a foundational model, with further operational development remaining subject to ongoing research.</p> |
