contents
AIR POLLUTION MONITORING USING LOW COST SENSOR WITH lora connectivity

ABSTRACT

Air pollution has become one of the most serious environmental issues due to rapid

urbanization and industrialization. Continuous monitoring of air quality is essential to

reduce its harmful effects on human health and the environment. However,

conventional air quality monitoring systems are expensive and limited to specific

locations. This project presents a low-cost air pollution monitoring system using

sensors with LoRa connectivity for real-time data transmission over long distances. The

proposed system uses low-cost gas sensors to measure air quality parameters such as

carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and harmful gases present in the atmosphere. A

microcontroller collects the sensor data and transmits it wirelessly using LoRa (Long

Range) technology, which offers low power consumption and wide coverage. The

received data can be displayed on a monitoring device or uploaded to a cloud platform

for analysis and visualization. This system provides an economical, scalable, and

energy-efficient solution for continuous air pollution monitoring, making it suitable for

smart cities, industrial areas, and remote locations. The implementation of LoRa .
