| contents |
Academics and teachers around the world have been increasingly interested in using game-based tools within the pedagogical framework of English language teaching (ELT) as a foreign language education practice. This interest stems from the need to balance educational rigor with learner engagement in increasingly diverse classrooms. This article examines the educational utility of game technologies for English language learning by considering their cognitive, motivational, and communicative benefits. Based on modern pedagogical theory and classroom-specific research, the study assumes that game-based learning is no longer just a motivational tool but a crucial instructional strategy with the potential to reshape interaction patterns and learning paths. It concludes that when grounded in methodological practice and pedagogically aligned, gaming technologies promote deeper language processing, ongoing learner participation, and communicative competence. The paper clarifies when game-based methods can be successfully integrated into the classroom without compromising academic rigor.
|
