- <p>Humans or Homo sapiens sapiens are said to suffer from Nonorganic Gastro-Intestinal Disorders (NGIDs) classed as ―Functional Gastro-Intestinal Disorders (FGIDs)‖. In this issue, subtle issues of clinical history taking, classification of GERD/NERD, role of gastric acidity and its modulation; humans are not ruminants, they are designated omnivores turned opportunistic carnivores, gut fundamental biophysiopathology, eg, gut motility, microbiota, visceral sensitivity, gut mucosal immune system, altered central, autonomic and enteric nervous system processing etc, which are not cause but effects of a subtle cause are discussed.</p>
