contents
This study looks at how young people in Navi Mumbai choose to invest their money and the main factors that
guide their decisions. As more young people become aware of financial matters, have access to digital tools,
and have various ways to invest, they are getting more involved in financial markets. However, their investment
choices are influenced by several things like how much risk they are willing to take, their income, how educated
they are about money, what their friends think, how easy it is to use technology, and how much return they
expect.
The research uses a structured method to find out which investment tools are popular among youth, including
fixed deposits, mutual funds, stocks, insurance, gold, and digital assets. Data was collected through a survey
given to young people aged 18 to 35 who live in Navi Mumbai. The results show that young investors are
showing more interest in tools linked to the market, like mutual funds and stocks, thanks to online platforms and
greater awareness through social media. What they expect in terms of risk and return, their financial goals, and
their access to online platforms all play a big role in their choices.
The study gives insight into the trends in behaviour of young investors and highlights the need for better
financial education and tailored financial products that are suitable for this group.
