- <p>This paper explores a formulation of gravitational phenomena within a framework in <br>which space and time remain structurally distinct and simultaneity is globally defined <br>relative to a preferred background structure. The approach extends a previously <br>developed preferred-frame formulation of relativistic kinematics that reproduces the <br>empirical predictions of special relativity while adopting different primitive structural <br>assumptions.</p>
