contents
This report summarises research activities carried out to support the development of technical methods and tools for multi-risk Impact-based Forecasting and Warning (IbFW) provision in India. It presents an analysis of impact databases for multi-risks resulting from weather-related hazards, drawing together data from various sources into a single, consistent database and GIS data set for India. It describes the design and implementation of a literature review of IbFWs for meteorological and hydrological hazards, which examined their implementation, development status, benefits, challenges, and evidence of their effectiveness in reducing risk. It also presents the design and results of a survey that captured practitioners’ perspectives on IbFWs for single and multiple risks.

The work documented in this report was funded by the UK Met Office Weather and Climate Science for Service Partnership (WCSSP) India project under the International Science Partnership Fund (ISPF).
