contents <p><span>Since its start in the 1950s, artificial intelligence (AI) has morphed into a primary force behind modern technology, with great hope and financial hurdles in research and development. This progression covers major milestones like IBM’s Deep Blue chess win and the deep learning revolution, culminating in contemporary breakthroughs in generative AI and agentic AI. The paper also covers robotic touch-sensing technology. It describes the different tactile sensors enabling safe interaction of robots with their surroundings, similar to the touch sensitivity of humans. It also compares human and AI processes, emphasizing that human intelligence is based on contextual awareness and emotional capability, whereas AI is based on data-driven pattern recognition. The work deals with metacognition and awareness and focuses on the role of social development in shaping the evolution of human cognition. Finally, it looks at how technology has transformed the way we communicate and work together. It highlights the benefits and difficulties that come with personal interactions in the digital age.</span></p>
