This <br>review article provides a comprehensive overview of onychomycosis, including its introduction, <br>historical background, and the anatomy of the nail relevant to the development of the <br>infection.The article also discusses various treatment approaches used for managing <br>onychomycosis, highlighting both conventional and modern therapeutic strategies. Special <br>emphasis is given to drugs approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the <br>treatment of this condition. In addition, different pharmaceutical formulations designed for <br>effective drug delivery to the nail, such as topical and systemic preparations, are reviewed. </p> |
