- This is a foundation stone with the coats of arms of the Contarini and Marcello families.In 1420, the old municipal statuses have been reformed. The nobles were given a subordinate position in the government of public affairs, while the true power was centralized in the hands of the podesta (certain high officials) and the captain, always chosen in the ranks of the Venetian aristocracy. In the case of Captain Maffeo Contarini and rector Jacopo Marcello, the city dedicated an inscription as a sign of gratitude for the efforts in 1481.
