  • This little seahorse, is one of the four horses situated at the four corners of the fountain in Piazza Duomo, Taormina. The fountain, with drinkable water coming of the horses' mouths, is very famous amongst the people of the place. Many people stop by and drink from the fountain every day, it is almost a tradition!   The fountain was built in 1635 and realised in Sicilian baroque style. The statue on top of the fountain, is the symbol of the city of Taormina, a centaur with woman's bust.
