contents
This repository contains the dataset and analysis script associated with the study "Parking Choice Behavior in Ecuadorian Cities: A National Stated Preference Analysis with Revealed Preference Validation, Technology Adoption, and Inter-City Heterogeneity." The dataset comprises responses from 2,150 licensed drivers across 27 Ecuadorian cities, collected through an online stated preference (SP) survey with six choice scenarios, four parking alternatives, and seven attributes. The R script reproduces all analyses reported in the manuscript, including multinomial logit (MNL), mixed logit, latent class models, willingness-to-pay estimation, principal component analysis, and city-stratified sub-analyses.

Details:

Data_parking_survey_EC.xlsx
Raw dataset from the national online survey on parking choice behavior in Ecuador. Contains 2,150 valid responses from licensed drivers across 27 cities. Variables include sociodemographic characteristics, six stated preference choice scenarios, revealed preference items, perceptual ratings (32 Likert items), attitudinal statements (10 items), parking behavior indicators, technology adoption variables, maximum willingness-to-pay, and spatial location data (residence zone, workplace zone, city, province).

Script_R_parking_survey_EC.docx
Fully documented R script (R v4.4.3) reproducing all analyses reported in the manuscript. Includes data cleaning, stated preference design matrix, long-format data construction, multinomial logit (MNL), mixed logit with Halton draws, latent class model, willingness-to-pay estimation via delta method, city-stratified sub-analyses, principal component analysis of perceptual and attitudinal items, technology adoption logistic regression, and publication-ready figures and tables exported as SVG and DOCX.
