contents
The COSMOS-Web survey has identified radio sources detected at >5σ at 3 GHz by the VLA with no counterpart in JWST NIRCam, MIRI, HST, Chandra, Herschel, or ALMA — "dark radio sources" invisible at every wavelength except radio (arXiv:2603.28863, Sun et al. 2026). We propose that these objects are one of two classes of primordial topological defects in the brane fabric of the One-Octonion Brane-Bulk Framework: (1) brane tears — regions where ultra-fast expansion during brane nucleation caused the brane surface to locally rupture, creating a closed boundary that emits synchrotron-like radiation from circulating brane current but contains no matter (H sector absent, no focal zones); (2) primordial G₂ vortices — quantized topological ⁺ defects formed during the pre-QCD negative-effective-temperature epoch (when Λ_opp > Λ_nuc) via a Kibble mechanism analog. Both are invisible at optical/IR/X-ray/mm because the H matter sector is absent or cannot condense. Both emit radio from coherent brane current at ⁺ their boundary or core. The surviving vortex fraction is fixed by the baryogenesis asymmetry: n_surviving/n_Kibble ~ (δM/M)² ~ (6×10 ¹ )² — the same number that governs the baryon-to- ⁻ ⁰ photon ratio. Primordial vortices also provide spin seeds for compact early galaxies (Little Red Dots, blue monsters), bypassing the standard Freeman sump threshold and explaining overmassive early black holes.

Part of the One-Octonion Brane-Bulk Framework series.
